The target

WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the target for every page.

What was checked

Every page was checked before publication for the things a machine can check reliably:

• Contrast of every colour pair that carries text, against WCAG AA for body copy
• One h1 per page and no skipped heading levels
• An alt attribute on every image
• A label on every form control
• A main landmark and a skip link on every page
• Link text that means something read out of context
• A still, complete page for anyone who asks for reduced motion, and for browsers without script

People, not machines

An automated check cannot tell whether alt text describes the right thing, whether an order makes sense to someone using a screen reader, or whether a form is understandable under pressure. Those need people, and this site has not yet been tested with assistive technology by anyone who relies on it.

Known gaps

• No testing with screen-reader users has been carried out
• The scroll scenes on the home page have been checked with reduced motion and without script, not with switch or voice control
